Flavonoids can significantly improve diabetes’ cardiovascular function

A one year double-blind contrast clinical study in britain showed that cocoa flavonoids and soybean isoflavone can significantly improve the risk of cardiovascular disease in type II diabetes menopause women so that to improve cardiovascular function.

The study recruited 93 postmenopausal women with type II diabetes, random supplied with and without 27g isoflavone chocolate every day (contains 850 mg of flavane-3-alcohol, 90 mg epicatechin and 100 mg of isoflavones) or placebo. For a year, the result shows that isoflavone group get less risk for cardiovascular disease. This result shows that flavonoids help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in women patients.
